MSG Interactive Sports Intern

  • Worked full-time as the only Intern in the MSG Interactive Sports Department for two semesters.
  • Assisted in every-day management of nyknicks.com and nyliberty.com websites, which included creating and updating web pages on a daily basis using HTML
  • Acted as lead moderator for Knicks Live Chat during every game for the 2010-11 NBA season and through the playoffs on nyknicks.com, which brought in nearly 5,000 readers per game. Tasks included being “the voice” of the Knicks, moderating all comments, producing poll questions, and interacting with fans.
  • Cut photos during every New York Rangers home game during the 2011 season for the official photo gallery on nyrangers.com, and uploaded the images and created captions using the NHL CMS.
  • Incorporated first ever flip-cam interviews and behind-the-scenes photos from practice into the “Knicks Notebook” on nyknicks.com.
  • Produced content and moderated fan comments on KnicksNow.com and BlueShirtsUnited.com—the most interactive websites the teams have ever developed.
  • Designed the “Knicks Game Recap” page on nyknicks.com, which was used for every game this season.
  • Wrote a variety of feature stories for nyknicks.com and nyrangers.com that appeared regularly on the homepage of the respective sites.
  • Conducted interviews with Knicks players and coaches via flip-cam on a weekly basis.
  • Interviewed Rangers legends and produced a special “Where Are They Now” feature on their “85th Anniversary” website.
  • Produced video content for nyknicks.com on Final Cut Pro.
  • Created Web banners and other visual media using Adobe Photoshop which were used on the homepage of nyknicks.com on a regular basis.
  • Created the “Official Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier” Soundboard for nyknicks.com using Adobe Flash, which was later re-developed for branding and use on MSG.com. Cut sound clips using Velocity.
  • Preformed IT work for superiors, including setting up computers and loading new software.
